The Jungle Book

The Musical Theater Production, specifically Kids Love Musical (KLM) out of Cleveland, worked with students from both the Bedford and Mentor campuses for several weeks on an adapted version of “The Jungle Book”. The students performed at both locations sharing their talents with students and families.

New Look at Re-Ed

The main entrance at the Mentor campus is undergoing construction to replace the entry doors and the addition of lighting and signage. A welcoming sign is now mounted and additional improvements are underway!

Holiday Cheer!

Choir members in Bedford were getting into the holiday spirit by singing holiday songs for the school and students’ families at the Bedford location. Thanks choir members for spreading the joy!

All Aboard!

sdr

Bedford’s Room 11 attended an hour and half field trip to Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad.  The students participated in the “All Aboard Animals” program.   The students enjoyed touching a variety of animal hides of the animals that are frequently seen throughout the park.  They really enjoyed the scenery during their train ride and the educational program.

We Never Want to Grow Up!

The Musical Theater Production, specifically Kids Love Musical (KLM) out of Cleveland, worked with Ms Beth our music therapist to adapt and modify “Peter Pan” for students with disabilities.  Students from the Re-Ed Bedford and Mentor campuses practiced for several weeks on speaking parts, songs and acting and shared their talents with students and families at both the Mentor and Bedford campuses. Nice job everyone!

Kids Heart Challenge!

It’s time for our students to show heart!  This year, we’re launching the Kids Heart Challenge!

It’s a chance for our students to be Heart Heroes by learning about heart health, spreading the word and raising funds to save other children.  If you have not already, please register for our school team at heart.org/kidsheartchallenge or by searching Kids Heart Challenge in the app store on your mobile device.  Our students are learning about what they can do to keep their hearts healthy, take their own health challenge and learn how they can help others by collecting donations for the American Heart Association.  We are a healthy and service-minded community!
