Room 10 Science Project

Ms. Jelenic’s class in Mentor worked on their butterfly project. They captured some of their results on a webcam.

Calendar reminder for the month of May

Please be aware of the following dates for the month of May.

Friday 5/4 – Half day for teacher in-service. Early dismissal is at 11:15

Friday 5/25 – No School – Calamity make-up day

Monday 5/28 – No School – Memorial Day Holiday

Ohio Achievement Assessments

OAA TestingThe Ohio Achievement Assessments for grades 3-8 measure students on what they know and are able to do in various subjects.

If you would like information on the test you can go directly to the ODE website for information. OAA Testing Information

Re-Education Services will be administering the test this week. As a parent or guardian, you can help your student by making sure they get a good night’s sleep, a good breakfast and have them prepared to take the test.

ESY Summer Program 2012 Information

The Re-education Services ESY (Extended School Year) program for 2012 will be held from June18th through July 26th at the Mentor campus.

This is a 6 week session, Monday through Thursday from 9am until 2pm. No camp July 4th.

Mr V’s Classroom on the Radio

Mr. Visger’s class from Mentor was recorded resighting the Pledge of Allegence by 99.5 WGAR. The recording played on the radio two weeks later. Well done!

The School Year has begun!

The new school year is underway and the students have all brought the positive energy! Everyone is off to a great start as they settle into their school routines. The students have all endured the early morning wake-ups and warm August and September temperatures and seem to be generally excited for school. Keep bringing the positivity!
